Hi, my name is Zoe and I'm double majoring in German (CLIS) and Public Health. I love ice cream and dogs:) but I also love my family and I love the Lord.

I chose to come to UTA after many months of prayer and guidance from the Lord. And even though I had much peace from God as to where I should go for college, the idea of leaving my family and moving 3 hours away was honestly terrifying to me. I prepared myself for the worst: late nights of studying, no social life, and lots of homesickness. But mostly I was scared that my pursuit for the Lord would be diminished because of my focus on school.

By the grace of God and the prayers of my church family, my experience throughout my freshman year was far from my anxieties. I came to college and found Christians on Campus, I found my home away from home, I found my family. Through the club, I found my brothers and sisters that I could pursue Christ with. I was not alone. On good days and bad days, we prayed together and read and studied the Word of God together. Everyone hates Mondays and loves Fridays... but I lived for Wednesdays throughout the semester! On Wednesdays we would come together and dig into certain scriptures and topics and share our experiences of the Lord in our lives.

Then of course were the events like "Campus Connect" and the semester retreat. During the retreat, we would give a whole weekend to God, and come together with other universities' Christian clubs from across the state. Hundreds of college students all in one room praising God and growing together in Him--it was a marvelous experience to say the least, highly recommend!!

I thank God for Christians on Campus and all those whom He has blessed me with through COC. I can't wait to keep pursuing Christ and loving God with my family who loves Him just the same.
